Highland as a church body reaches out to the community by serving and developing relationships with those who do not regularly attend church. The goal of these outreach programs is to offer practical expressions of Jesus' love into the lives of people. At the same time, we have the opportunity to share with them the gift of salvation or to encourage them in their walk with Jesus if they are already have a relationship with Him. The bottom line is that we strive to be about people, believers and non-believers alike. Jesus didn't just stay around the temple— He was always out with the crowd teaching and serving. If we are truly seeking to Help People Follow Jesus, then we have meet people where they are.

 

We are excited about the addition of our Life Center which offers some recreational space we envision to be used for further outreach efforts. People may not step foot in a church building, but they might attend a basketball camp instead. The possibilities are endless if Highland and believers throughout Waco step out in faith to reach our community!
