Women of Highland’s annual retreat is coming up on February 17-18 here at Highland. Our “Seaside Escape” will provide a time of reflection on our need to trust the work of God in our lives as we focus on the story of Sarah and Hagar from Genesis. Watch for more information in upcoming bulletins and sign-up opportunities in the Life Center foyer.

 

 

We are offering Beth Moore’s newest study entitled James - Mercy Triumphs. “Monday Mornings” begins January 23 at 9:00 a.m. and “Thursday Night Studies” begins January 26 at 6:30 p.m. Member books are $14.95, and registration begins this Sunday at the Discipleship Table in the Life Center foyer or by contacting Laura Wright at psylrw@aol.com. Childcare is available with advance registration. Monday Mornings participants may also register children by contacting Ann Shirley at 754-0335 or Ann-Shirley@highlandbc.org.

 

 

There are two Financial Peace classes meeting. One meets on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. starting January 25. Contact Andrew Stripling at andrew.stripling@gmail.com to sign up. The other class meets on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. starting January 26. Contact Becky Marincic at highlandfpu@gmail.com or 722-5098 to sign up. The FPU course consists of a 13-week video curriculum—taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey—that incorporates small-group discussions to encourage accountability and discipleship. You’ll learn how to beat debt, build wealth, find bargains, invest for the future, give like never before, and much more!

Also, Parenting is Heartwork is once again being offered on Thursday nights starting January 26 at 6:30 p.m. This 8-session series on parenting solutions by Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller will help you understand how you can mold and direct the heart of your child. You will receive resources and practical parenting tips you can use right away! The study is facilitated by Donna Beth Norman, and you can register by emailing her at angelmom76705@gmail.com.
